- 4 russet potatoes (about 2½ pounds), scrubbed
- Olive oil (for rubbing)
- Flaky sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Unsalted butter, finely grated Parmesan (or your favorite cheese), and/or chopped fresh chives (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°. Prick potatoes all over with a fork and rub with oil; season generously with salt and pepper.
- Place potatoes directly on an oven rack and roast until very soft when squeezed and skin is crisp, 60–75 minutes.
- Cut open each potato; season with salt and pepper and top with butter, Parmesan, and/or chives.

How to make Air Fryer Baked Potatoes
- Prep – Preheat Air Fryer to 400˚F. Start by scrubbing potatoes under running water then pat dry thoroughly. Poke potatoes all over with a fork.
- Oil and salt – Add the potatoes to the air fryer basket and drizzle in oil and salt and rub the oil so that all sides of the potatoes are coated.
- Air Fry – Cook the potatoes in a basket-style air fryer at 400˚F for about 30 minutes. Flip the potatoes and cook for an additional 5-15 minutes until a knife easily pierces through the center.
