Hoisin BBQ Sauce

Hoisin BBQ Sauce – Hoisin sauce forms the base of this simple barbecue sauce seasoned with garlic. The Cantonese are particularly fond of using it with barbecued chicken.

Hoisin is an incredibly versatile sauce made from soybean paste. The thick, reddish brown, slightly sweet, fragrant sauce is used in China much as ketchup is used here.
